Organised a family weekend. Fantastic location and amenities. Used the camp kitchen for the smaller group but then had use of the largeroom with the kitchen - fantastic. Kids loved the pool and jumping pillow. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Greay stay.
We can not recommend this beautiful caravan park high enough. So grassy and shady, quiet but with so much to do especially for the young kids . Jenny and John and their friendly efficient staff make you feel so welcome. Great camp kitchen and facilities and always clean. Absolutely the best park in Port Fairy.
You know you have had a good holiday when the kids take half an hour to say good bye to their mates and continue to stay in contact throughout the year. We have enjoyed this experience at the Big4 Port Fairy Caravan Park this last 10 years. The park is run by the hard working John and Jenny and its helpful and friendly staff. Its location is only a short stroll to the historical Port Fairy town and spectacular patrolled beach. Each year we have observed the continued yearly improvements to the park which contributes to kids enjoyment but more importantly safety. EDIT: the manager came around after a few days and apologised unreservedly. Have us a discount which was very well appreciated. Owning up to the mistake is excellent, added another star.Booked 9 months prior to our stay with two other families, only to be told when we arrived that they had no record of our group booking. They couldn't do anything about it, as our site was given to a 'regular' staying for 3 weeks. To make matters worse, we were placed right next to dump point and amenities block.Very poor treatment.Very minimal room on the roads between sites makes it difficult to manoeuvre a van in peak periods.
Our family stayed at Big4 Port Fairy initially for 3 nights, but were offered an enticing rate from the owners for another 2 nights. What a relaxing time we've all had. Our kids loved the indoor swimming pool, skate park as well the mini golf course. In fact, the children could be found enjoying themselves at the pool every single day during our stay. Accommodation was neat and tidy. All facilities available inside the cabin (air conditioning, heating, cooking etc.) were provided for a comfortable family stay. The location was very close to shops, restaurants, beaches as well as the light house. There was also a large park with playground equipment right at the beach for the whole family to enjoy.
