The owner Carol refused to give ice with tap water (too expensive she said), gave us an angry look when we decided not to order a main course each, spilled wine all over one of my guest, didnt say sorry and refused to pay any sort of dry cleaning service. Completely ruined birthday and my day in Port Fairy. Terrible customer service and less than average food. Dont waste your money here. They dont care about clients and i dont think this place will last long. With so many excellent dining options in Port Fairy ( like Conlan wine shop and coffin Sally) these guys should really work on the hospitality service given - which was none!
The food is absolutely devine, would love to eat the food again. The service was deplorable! We weren't shown to a table, then a waitress plonked menus down on our table without a word . When the waitress didn't reappear, we found the specials board on our own. Then we went to the counter to order only to be told that we order from the table. So a few minutes later another waitress came and stood at our table, notebook in hand and just stood there without speaking. So we gave our order which included garlic bread. Only after about 10 minutes our food arrived, no garlic bread. So off she went and returned 5 mins later with the garlic bread. 15 mins later we were finished and another waitress came and asked if we'd like tea or coffee, which we didn't. When we went to pay, the chilled cabinet was filled with beautiful desserts. We thought they could've offered us that option.I know it probably sounds like I'm being picky, but there was absolutely no hospitality given to us.
Amazing food, will definately be back
Beautiful food and friendly, but not ingratiating service. Braised lamb shank special was sublime and my wifes barramundi was excellent with an amazing variety of vegetables. Very friendly atmosphere and not overpriced. Highly recommended.
The most amazing food. Fish. Gnocchi. Pork. Sizzles. All delicious. Great staff. The best meal weve had in a long long time.
