Historical location, menu printed daily, exquisite food and drinks (a "welcomer" of beetroot and basil tea infused with flowers from the garden... astoundingly delicious and refreshing!), excellent table service, views of the majestic Norfolk pines and fascinating harbour, calm and classy, I couldn't want for more! Oh yes... my main was rare beef...smokey, and featuring amazingly sweet and soft beetroot with a green salad side-dish, see in photos.

Nothing new or different on the menu, but beautifully presented and cosy atmosphere. Very pricey. The staff were lovely, although three different people served us over the two hour dinner. A lot of older clientele, but well worth a try if youre looking for fine food in Port Fairy.

Best meal I've had in a long time. This is the place for rustic charm and romance. It's expensive, but worth every cent. Allow the waiter cum sommelier to recommend drinks to accompany the menu. There is nothing on there you will regret. Will definitely be back. X

unique and interesting food made with love. great wine list as well. adventurous menu

My wife and I took my 80 year old grandmother out for dinner. We wanted her to have a wonderful experience and that she did. The waitress, Sarah was an absolute gem. She listened intently to everything my grandma said, changed menu items to account for her vegetarianism, discussed the area etc, just a very friendly, bubbly and energetic person. She had a great personality that really made the dining experience welcoming. We had 3 different staff members look after us attentively for the evening. The food was glorious. The House bread and entree tea were complimentary and tasty. Our mains were sublime. The steak is amazing. My wife and grandmother are both vegetarians and loved their meals. Then dessert was perfect. I was absolutely thrilled. Its not a cheap pub meal, so dont expect those prices. The service and food make this a lovely experience. Its quite small, so booking is needed
