An extremely quaint and picturesque inn that dates back 177 years! The whole inn is an instagram haven. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore if youre a shutterbug and the entire property is very tastefully up-kept. The team that work here are an exuberant bunch who are chipper from the moment you walk through the doors. Had a room in the attic which is puny by all standards, especially if youre a 6-footer like yours truly, but once you learn how to bend in the right spots, its a cosy crib for the night. The birds will keep you awake for a while as it sure sounds like they make up the late night Port Fairy orchestral symphony of chirps. The location is right across the street from the wharf and its a short walk from the town centre. A very therapeutic experience bedding down in this little piece of early history in this town. Highly recommended!

Simply love this restaurant. The quality and flavour of food is so outstanding here and I would definitely return again. Best rump roast with the freshest salad and roast vegies I ever had!! Obviously a lot of thought put into sourcing local produce and I feel very privileged to have tasted a dish there.
Dinner at Merrijig was a 5* experience. Very friendly staff and sensational food. They really go above and beyond with customer service, something that seems lacking nowadays. Their passion for local and in-season food was wonderful.
